my race was cancelled (bugger) and after a measly 70m min run i no longer feel i deserve an old tom and sausage and mash...not that i have "issues" or anything!....tee hee!
Sat. 24 undulating miles. 4h 18 mins. Experimented with less food and ran all of the hills hard for some insane reason.
Sun. a short 6miles tonight in the dark with one head torch between us, excellent fun.
I second that..thanks DTc 25ml /5000ft steady away in Dales with Stef F yesterday based on Walden LDWA route. Great Whernside (climb from race), Little Whernside, Scar House Res, Braidley, Buckden Pike, Starbottom and back to Kettlewell on Dales Way. A brilliant day out in good company!
I cheated and bought sausage and chips in Settle...Mmmm they were good. Looking back, no breakfast and only two energy gels wasn't nearly enough.
Managed a 2.5 hour run this morning...hard work! The sole finally fell off my shoe in the valley of desolation.....had to tie it on with the laces! Must get the new ones ordered.
A great weekend all round.
Now I just need to force myself out for an early morning run and I'll be back into full-on training!

Just ran a blinder of a 5 mile road run quite by accident. Knocked a whole minute off my time. Yippee!
hard hill session tonight. around 7 miles but those hill sprints past lamposts went on forever. yeah....

16 miles on the Sandstone Trail on Sunday - my calves are still telling me that was a very good workout.
12 miles round Teggs Nose and Macc Forest. Climb to Shutlingsloe was shrouded in cloud cover with not a sound around. Very Happy with that.
13.5 mile trail race on Sunday. No real hills (we haven't got any) but some recently ploughed fields.
