Hope to do a few of these. Maybe Burley Bridge and Wedge (car depending). Rombalds Stride nearly a definate. I'll also be having a bash at my local Rudolph's Romp - early Dec - perhaps the fastest LDWA challenge event out there, lots of quite flat bits in first half, but some decent scenery too.

Does anybody know if the Burley Bridge Hike definitely allows runners? Thinking of doing it this weekend.

Also, does anybody have a map/route description?

I did it last year and ran it, as did many others. Good course barring a long ish section on canal that saps the life out of you!

Thanks for that. Think I'll give it a go. I've found a route description now.

I'm not a LDWA memeber - can anyone copy and paste the route description for the burley bridge hike on here. I'd like to plot it on my memory map and try to imagine what 21 miles will feel like before I accept AJF's challenge of tackling this on saturday!
Actually cancel that - I've now found it!

here it is if anyone else wants to have a look.

Let me know if you want a map, as its my local area and the more the runners the better the event. Weather forecast for Sat is showers but mainly sunshine and breezy

Think that's just the entry form you've got there. But here is the route description I found.
