Come on guys - get a life - this sort of debate is what makes the forum a great place.

Have your tried eightlane, Letsrun or () runnersworld?

I can usually see some logic and thought going in to all the arguments on here.

Just to give you a taste of the brain cells in action on eightlane, this is on the Ribble Valley 10K thread

Don't know on second sentence but Southwell is very fast, nearest it comes to a hill is the bump of a bridge going over a river, a rise of at least 1 metre() Does suit fellrunners though as it is straightout, turn around and run back. Did about 43mins last year and doing it again. Great fun, can't wait. And yes, I am doing it again.....

The issue really Biara is that someone has started a RV10K thread - and someone comes on with a "my race is beter than your race..." which is about as childish and petty as you can get.

Both races are undoubtedly good races and fast races.(Flat doesn't always mean fast as anyone who's done the Rufford 10K will testify!!)

The debate on this forum is generally mature and sensible, at times controvertial, but at the very least interesting.

I think this forum is excellent.

This is a friendly interesting informative forum with loads of character and characters.
It's also very welcoming and inclusive.
There are other sort of related forums which I no longer bother with (eg Fetch, Runners Woe, Outdoors Magic)where people give and take offence with readiness and in some cases form little cliques which ignore or are hostile to others.
No this is a cracking refuge in the e-wilderness and the odd spat or teddy throw is to be expected and, er, tolerated
