this is going to be fun - haven't run in three weeks and clogged up with a cold: did someone mention sitting in the pub instead?

Looks like the "curse" has got me as well now. I did those damn hillreps the other night and the back of my left upper leg is painful now. Don't know if its muscular or hamstring related

The curse has taken me too!

I'm back to aiming to finish uninjured. Bit of an ITB niggle in me knee earlier this week now quite sore following last night's 'timed training run' over Pendle.

I'm in a hotel in B'ham tonight and I'm checking in with my foam roller and scaffolding pole for a major stretching session!

let's forget the running and go straight to the 'why I didn't get round as quickly as I should have' pub post-mortem

That's tough luck Gary. As frustrating as it is I wouldn't risk it on a long hard run like the FTOP if I was you but if you do then at least the race has a handy retirement spot at the bottom of Geronimo if it is giving you a problem during the run. I will decide tomorrow on my own participation.

    Swap pre-mortem for post-mortem and I think we're there, aren't we?

Alf, I won't make the same mistake as last year, and if I need to duck out early I will, discretion being the better part of valour and all that. I know all the exit routes. I could always wander up to the trig if needs be, cheer everyone ellse on.
