Aye mate that was me, thought i recognised you but then got talking to Donkarlo on the next climb, sorry mate, know who you are now and will say hi next time, couldn't hang about for a pint as Mrs.Stagger, who kindly gave me a lift (thanks Linda) had to get back for a club dinner.
Tough race but enjoyed it, thanks to Keiran and all the marshalls stood for hours in the wind and rain
Ran a lot better than last year and knocked 15ish mins off my time, and more importantly for the BG, felt strong on all the climbs.

Only started on the fells this year so first time for me, found it very tough, felt like I wouldn't make it at times especially the assent on the last hill, So very pleased to finish with 3:27:19. As every one else I thought the organisation and marshalling was great and thanks for the pics Mrs T managed to catch me. Next year ? go on then.

Boy did i find that tough, felt like i could of chucked the towel in a few times today but soldiered on.
Thanks to Kieran and all the marshalls and did anyone else see the dogwith the marshalls at the trig it looked like it definetly didnt want to be there.
Got the last two jelly babys at the trig and the taste of grit and grass saw me home.
Finished i 3.53, 30 min slower than last year but hey ho was just glad i finished .
More training needed for next year newborn has put a stop to that this year so really iam pleased with my time.
Got another A long under my belt so now next years big race for me will be the 3ps.
Also took heart when i heard the guy that was leading went wrong way and ended up finishing 35, no good being fast if you cant navigate.
As arnie once said ill be back.
Tough as hell race but sat here now with my tour tshirt on and big feeling of saisfaction.
Well done to all who took part.

No good being able to navigate if you can't run fast either.

I was in my eyes and least i knew were i was going.

It was not meant as a dig just chuckled me as it is was a waste of talent.

I would love to be able to run that fast but god didnt give me that trait i go as fast as i can, but anyone can learn to navigate.

If god had gaven me the trait that i would be challenging at the front of races i definetly would make sure my navigation was spot on so that i was in with a chance of winning .

He came in in the Mid 20's His mistake was to go to far along the ridge befor the final drop before the last climb. Dom and Jon thought they were racing for second place, also the two lead woman were led astray by a clayton runner but they soon caught up.

Its definitely achievable if you stay on the lines. Soft ground or no soft ground I think.
Ok so you were right. Brilliant race and loved it all. flat out along the road, However if it was 100 m longer or had a slight up hill finish I'd have pinch 28th from Storyteller(my partner on the Calderdale relays) I'll get you next time Martin

so 29th 2.54.12 and even snuck into the dark peak 2nd team prize

However has any one told Merry that he won first prize in the raffle for that beautiful hand carved plaque But he wasn't there so they drew another number

Thanks to Kieran and all the marshalls I'll be back next year.

Great run Ian! Now settled down with my recovery meal of Singapore vermicelli washed down with a pint of your Rescue Ale. Loving it. Cheers mate.

ZHR: sorry mate, only got your PM at 9 this morning. Did you make it up for the race? And if so, did you get back to Nelson ok?
