It was gorgeous once the rain had lifted, but quite cool in the wind. The speed you runners were going though, you wouldn't have noticed, it would have been nowt but a mild inconvenience
You're right, when I saw those pics I wondered if I'd been imagining it all, maybe I was affected by the beer I had on Saturday night

Under estimate this race at your peril
Three terrifying descents especially when you twang your ankle at the begining of the first descent, and the second climb is awesome!
A great race and a brilliant route
Kind of like Rivington but bigger
A good alternative to doing the Tour of Pendle
especially if you have not trained for it.
This race still has the toughness without the distance.
Also great food and drink in the Hotel after.
