    Daybreak.

    Sunrise, Tired eyes,
    Her breath soft and slow,
She stirs awake her gentle sighs,
Each day for her my love does grow.

    I like this t-m. She's a lucky girl.
Oh, and yes - I'd be up for some BGR collaboration over the next year. Billy Bland is quoted as saying it is just a walk...and proved it. Thus diminishing the hard-won achievements of many.
I think we mortals may have to do a canny bit of running.

    Re: Today's poet

I found some delightful children's poetry on my lunch...it is by Helen Thomas who is a friend of my colleague's...i think it is rather sweet and silly...

When all the world was made of sugar

    Long, long ago,

Before the time we call ‘primordial’

The world was made of sugar,

And the sea was lime cordial.

The fish were made of jelly,

But they didn’t have a sting,

They were sweet and filled your belly,

With a wobble and a zing.

    All the waterfalls were flowing,

    With cool fizzy orangeade:

    Carrot coloured soda pop,

    Dropping a cascade,

    Of sparkly, skipping, bubbles,

    Spilling down into a lake

Of sherbet, where the lily pads

    Were made of jaffa cakes,

    Floating on the surface,

    Feeding families of frogs,

    Watched by friendly crocodiles

    Eating chocolate logs.

I also really liker her "scabby knees" poem...worth checking out at ....
