    Two lovely posts Freckle. I'm not particularly maternal but you make me envious when you write about that unconditional love! The closest I've come is with a small hairy terrier and her progeny.

    Ben Okri writes gorgeous imagist poetry (if that's the rght way to describe it).

    8th December...that's if the Indian Visa people will quit hassling me for being an artist. They are holding up my visa until I can prove that I won't be working. I need a guarantee from an employer even though they know I'm self-employed but I sent them a photo of my studio and said I can't work without it....can't lug an 85 kilo press around! (I've since faxed through a signed pledge that I won't work as I thought my previous letter may be seen as being flippant).

    thanks hes...small hairy terriers sound particularly cute too mind and i bet they can run faster across fells!!!! anyway, if you have mum envy i have an equal amount of travel envy (would love to be going to india i tell thee! what an experience to have!).....

    i really like ben okri's stuff just acquired a book of his poems for £2...bargain!
