    Quite agree. Snecklifter = paint stripper. However, we can rejoice in the fact that there are plenty of fine ales available in Keswick toon

    I agree and just how many beers have to have the word (ho, ho, ho) ferkin (ho, ho) in their name . Mind you I don't much like black sheep either. Putting my beer drinker's beard on for one moment I do like Jennings bitter and their next one up the scale (cumberland?) but all sneck lifter is likely to do is fraggle my brains and make me easy prey to any wicked harpy on the prowl . I also like bluebird bitter of course.

    Since we're on the subject, I'll own to not being too keen on Snecklifter either, and to preferring lager over real ale (you can take the boy out of the south...). I hope by saying this now all the p**s-taking will be over and done with by the 19th!
