I took the plunge and posted my entry off yesterday. I have to admit that part of my motivation was a determination not to miss out on the first running of a new event *again*. I've run the second Loch Ness Marathon, the second Devil O' the Highlands and the second Highland Fling. This time I want to be able to say that I've run the first!

Yah the date I beleive is the 20th March (Thick snow last year around this area if I remember right)

This could make it very interesting. Should I be thinking about some of these?

Wanted to get my entry sorted for this today but delayed by lack of a chequebook Not sure what bank is upto. Don't suppose it will fill up, only about a dozen entries when I last looked.

Likewise RF, will be fun, though I hope I'm not last .... scratch that selfishness, who cares, any 55 miles is a victory.

I hope the weather stays for the race, would be interesting. I would recommend buying some kahtoolas!!!!

As you say i hope the weather stays.

If it doe`s i will be tempted to bring the X/C Ski`s across as i have not seen anything in the rules to say i can`t and i reckon it still counts as self perambulation.

Too right, you can always hit him with them if he doesnt let you
Im tempted to take poles if its simillar conditions to now (only ever used them in the TMB) cant see anything in the rules disallowing them

Did a bit of a route recce, still snow up on the Cleveland way. Anyone else been out on the route recently?
