20 minute interval session on the treadmill at school, waiting for sets of parents to arrive to hear about their offspring - reminds me how dull and noisy treadmills are!

Tried 5 minute mile pace for 1 minute at a time, with a minute of 8 minute mile pace recovery, and that was OK so thought I'd see what 4 minute mile pace felt like.... could barely manage 25 seconds. How do the elite manage it???

    Re: Today's Training

Never bothered making a training post before, but felt inspired to after tonight's little run.

Went out for a quick half hour up and down the nearest hill (~200m) to my house - it was meant to be my first ever headtorch run, and a chance to see if my alpkit gamma was good enough for such things - however...

such a beautiful clear night with that bright moon, I didn't even need to turn the headtorch on - magic (and not a werewolf in sight - though I did almost run over a small dog who's owners I'd recently passed and been asked if I'd seen their dog anywhere)

Anyway - after that joyous experience, I think I'm going to pay more attention to the lunar cycles from now on - the clear skies might be a bit more of a problem though

Had 3 week off due to injury and feel sluggish and full of wine. Did the KCAC duathlon last night, but cycled and mountain biked rather than ran in order to sweat some crap out in order to try and run properly tonight. However the pub and a bottle of wine afterwards put paid to my good intentions.

Nice 8 to 9 miles Pendling this afternoon.

Absolutely brilliant clear conditions, and the frost provided a perfect semi-hard surface to run on, so much faster than the last few weeks, loved it!

Could see all the snow-capped fells over to the Dales, might pop up this week sometime for a trot in the snow if possible. There should be another layer added tonight!

Pleasant short run at the back end of Pendle last night with Derby Tup, Southern Softie, Brett and others in attendance.

Very stiff this am after nearly 3 weeks off. Excellent run by Brett who I only stayed front of cos of a series of gates at the end.
