I have the makings of man flu too.... I think I can sneak a run in tonight though before it hits me properly.
the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.......
I have got man flu even though I am a girl I have the overwhelming desire to moan so it must be the man version.
I can cope (just about in a feeble wussy kind of way ) with the sniffles and even the sneezing, but my wind pipe feels like I have been breathing in poisonous gases, all scratchy and sore
(It feels so good to moan though it really does )
I've got it too!
Unusual- had two days off work and according to most of the kids I stood in front of I really shouldn't have been there on Tues either!
Burning sensation all down my wind pipe and dull ache in centre of chest at front and two big aches on my back.
Still headache and shivers have now gone
so back to work tomorrow.
Not convinced I'll make Pendle though
Pilgrim you have a good point!
Karen that sounds horrible. I don't have anything quite so bad - hopefully it won't get any worse! Glad you are feeling a bit better
If you are a woman and you get ill, your partner may not be all that sympathetic. But when they get ill their common cold suddenly transforms into ‘flu’. Or that is what common stereotypes would have us believe. So if you thought ‘man flu’ was a real problem, how could you test for it? You might look at prevalence rates for people suffering from colds or flu and see whether men reported more often with more serious symptoms.
Just recovered from one version of man flu, and now I have come down with a new strain not the same this one. It involves less moaning so far so could well be woman flu
You forum ladies shouldn't joke about MANflu, it's terrible. I had it so bad once I had to go to bed before Match of the Day started, and another time I couldn't go to the pub for TWO, yes TWO, days
