    Re: LDWA events

We must have been at Sancton at about the same time, Drunkeneuphoria. I arrived at the barn just inside 1:50.
However, I haven't done a long LDWA event for 3 months and as time went on I was reduced to jogging a bit, cramping a bit, walking a bit. Got in just under the 4 and a half hour mark and was quite happy with that.
What a glorious day! Great scenery, and mild and sunny too. That was as well, because I accidentally left all my gear at home and had to run sans backpack. That meant no body cover, gloves, hat, cup, nuun tablets, jelly babies, map, vaseline, etc etc.
    Won't make that mistake again...

On the contrary duracell, mountains in Hull need resuing, they are virtually extinct

On a serious note though thats good fundraising considering the size and affordability of the event.

Cheers TF, mad week and I was going to put results from email online somewhere. Didn't realise they were onsite otherwise would have done sooner.

Well, thats it for me till January.... too much beer at this time of year to take on a long run, though not to say I'm not open to temptation I'll probably just revert to the shorter cross country or fell runs where I can get within a few mins of a good time with a hangover.

Lovely place to hire a cottage (resisted temptation to immaturely say "go cottaging" .... oh just did). Whereabouts? good value? I might do that in the area for a planned future venture
