Thanks Andy and Ian for a great race. I managed not to over-imbibe at the Pennine club dinner the night before and can put my tardiness down to my well-recce'd cunning line over Bleaklow in a couple of secret grough being neck-deep in water :-(

I got value for money again! Not quite sure I'll be queuing up for an entry next year (another one done - ticked the box!) Think the effects of a week in the States and a road marathon have taken more out of me than I thought.

I'd just like to say thanks to Andy as well as he did most of the work.

He had to shoot off as soon as he'd finished as he had to go to work, he's still there now serving beer in his Pub He was up at 5 this morning and will be serving till closing time. If any one is in the Penistone area I'm sure he would welcome a visit. He's even hoping to have Rescue Ale on tap soon.

Top man, dedication indeed, just like all the marshalls, spectators (especially those with food and drink) and photographers who hang around for hours in all weathers at races who make the job easier and more memorable for us runners! Thank you one and all
