Definitely worth a recce. I did it last year (the race, not the recce) for the first time and went horribly wrong before CP13 (despite Daz calling to me). Ended up on a nice tempting path heading down to the east of the hill. Worth checking out the finish, too.

Not sure whether to do this again or have a go at the Long Mynd Valleys for next year's birthday race.
