So come on then, who's your money on. I'll say SA will make 300, England will make 400, then SA will be helped by the rain and narrowly avoid defeat.

N.B. Any predictions made much later in the day lose credibility as events unfold.

Hmmm. South Africa are making a bit of a recovery. I'll go with the opposite of what you said with England clinging on.

Yes, I wasn't counting on a century from Kallis. You might be right. They're also talking about uneven bounce coming into it. I think I'll definitely be re-using my WG Grace quotation.

Andrew Strauss rang up Mark Hughes from South Africa during the tea interval this afternoon.
Mark Hughes told him what to do and it worked. England got a draw!

Mayhem in Durban today, England on course for victory.

Enjoyed listening to Vaughan on TMS, he's been entertaining and obviously enjoying it.

    The Hogster on now.

Bet you could've got good odds on both Cook and Bell scoring centuries AND (assuming it happens) England winning by an innings.

An intriging first few hours today. England doing a lot with the ball. Only two SL wickets fall. Finely balanced.
