Brave words indeed Brummy John, but if anything (and without wishing to start an intra-club feud) I can only see a clear victory for the old buggers.

    Game on

It will certainly be interesting to see who is chasing who. Notlob, I have your jumper from training as you left it in the changing rooms. The Bolton Wanderers badges are safe for now!!

Well, I don't make the Radcliffe team so hope you all enjoy the relay.

Vince i was surprised when i noticed that you lot had only entered 1 open team and 1 Ladies team.

Radcliffe seems to be a flourishing club, i'd have thought you could have raised another open team easily to be honest.

It suprised me as well, only checked the website of the teams today. However, we do have an all Ladies team entering!

we seem to have quite a few at the club but getting them to committ/turn up is another thing! Had a few occassions with team events where runners have failed to appear & people have had to run multiple legs!!

Anyway, more to the point- who's doing lovely leg 2?! I'm paired up with the club speed merchant who's a little more dedicated and focused than me!! He makes me feel guilty, not turning up & running with a hangover!!!

Went round Leg 3 yesterday with a group from Ilkley, thought it was a good runnable leg with some solid steady climbing but nothing you would call steep.

I reckon you could run it without a recce, Mrs GA is doing it and she dragged me round.

Personally I would still wear shoes with good grip cos you want plenty of grip on the stony/cobbled downhill bits. Should be able to get some speed up flying down those, but could be fun if its icy!

Hope the weather on race day is as good as yesterday, caught some cracking views. Seemed to be a few others out reccieing as well.

Good man Glass Ankles that's the second favourable report about leg 3 on here up to now.

It's got to be beneficial to do a recce though...we're doing ours this Sunday morning
