    Re: Life without TV?

Just about TV free. Our one year old thinks it is a living room ornament. On demand net tv & film downloads keep me going. I love the way that when we visit relatives they switch the tv on to children's tv crap. It is almost as if they are trying to hook our one year old onto the 'smack' that is TV. So far we have avoided the corporate adverts that are Thomas, night garden bob the builder etc. We also have to make more of an effort with our daughter as we don't sit her infront of the boob tube to be mesmarised.
However.... when she gets to the terrible two's it maight be a different story.

    Re: Life without TV?

I agree! TV over Christmas was so dire, we watched stuff that I had downloaded instead. There's the odd thing I watch on TV but would easily go without ever turning it on if I lived by myself again. (Other half would feel like he'd lost a limb if I actually removed the TV).

But not all of you please or I will not have a job

My fave time of the year is now because of:

    World Strongest Man Series!

I love this program, I can watch it all day, never tire of seeing a car beind dead lifted, or a train being pulled, and the classic Atlas Stones.

    Top, top Program

Can't say I blame you. I won't be in a hurry to replace my TV when it packs up.

Getting sick to death now of so called talent shows (or should that be talentless shows ), reality shows and z-list celebrities trying to resurrect their careers!
