    Aye was awesome some people were wearing crampons bit OTT to me, what time were you thinking of on sunday mate ?

    Yeah there were loads of people like that on Ingelborough and Whernside on sat too, looked like they'd just set off from Everest Base Camp lol, I sware down, I'll see someone with an oxygen tank one day

    This Sunday coming? Well if SS can make it, then probs 8am, but if not, I'll head up about 10-11am. Not fussed either way

    there were crampons and ice-axes galore out in the Lakes - but to be fair, in places they were probably justified.

    I had a moment on Sunday edging up an exposed path that skirts from Sail round up to Crag Hill - the Mudclaws did well but I wouldn't like to have been coming down it ...

    a lightweight axe is always good during weather like this, carry it or stuff if down the back of your running sack!

    Crikey, Pendle in the snow My poor little legs... will plan to head from York to Pendle-wards ish if the car allows on Saturday

    Well I'll be heading up to Pendle, likewise, if I can get the car up there, on Saturday!
