All the main roads seem ok at the minute, road closures are not due to 12 ft snow drifts but lorries that have jack knifed so provided there are no road accidents it should be business as usual. Forecast is snow tomorrow then that's it!
snow has been falling all day in Heywood
heavy snow on chester and wrexham, and sticking fast. had to call the club session off tonight - the rural lanes we run on are lethal
We measured the snow in my sisters garden, and we have 10 inches of snow, and its still snowing, so no idea what it be like tomorrow, couldn't go into work today, because a pipe had burst and the heating was off!
Went and asked the elderly neighbours if they were okay, and then we went to the garage to get them milk etc, felt like i was about 12 again, had a snowball fight. It was hardwork walking in the snow, but that was about 11am this morning, so not sure what its like to walk in now. Cars were getting stuck in the snow on the main roads, but we did see a gritter go past us heading towards one of the main roads.

got at least 6 inches in oldham,it's a right mare,seriously had enough of it now,cant wait to get back training when it's all melted

Telling the locals to stay at home, because we are running out of grit, and only the main roads are getting done, never seen anything like this, my sister said we had snow as bad as this in 1982 it was bad then.
My sister in Preston said theres a few inches of snow, here its loads!
The snow been falling almost non stop all night and day today, one of my sisters is in Cyprus and enjoyed her Mountain Trek!
