    Re: Snow??

My daughter has just been telling today's horror story as she was stuck on the Rochdale to Manchester train for over 3 hours due to a broken down train in front of hers followed by frozen points problems. A journey of usually 20 minutes in the end got her as far as Mills Hill where she baled out and came home.

Aparently tempers were very frayed with one lady threatening to jump off when the driver opened the door to get at a phone on the line. She didn't know if she was claustrophobic, but she was a smoker so that might have contributed as well. She thought in the end they were half an hour away from cannibalism

I wonder how many people have bought 4x4 with this recent weather in mind?

Just remind me what century we are in?
You would think there would be some system on the train and if all else fails a bloody mobile number

Don't you just love councils and their policies. My school is open tomorrow as the council have been up and cleared the car park. They haven't gritted the roads outside, but the car park is clear.

PS. My school is at the top of a hill

Its snowing like buggery here now, and im literally a fell shoes throw from the sea, so I think its going to be a rough night for all Has anyone ran in the lakes this week, I was considering heading over there this weekend, is it safe on the tops or icy and not very runnable?
