    I was job hunting iirc

You've done Roaches before and so long as you didn't set off like a bat out of hell (some chance ), you'd do the Trog too Those tussocks would do your knees a power of good

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

I've decided to sack off Rombald's Stride and do this instead what with it being a 'proper' fell race and all. Is anyone planning a (slow) recee at any point? I am a girl therefore I mean girl-slow not man-slow.

Alternatively, I *think* I have loaded the checkpoints into my 405 in case I recee alone and get lost but I did get a wee bit confused when converting the grid ref to Lat/Long as the output from my snazzy iPhone app gave (for example) 053º48’20” yet the Garmin input field is in the format 053 48.xxx.
Is it correct to enter the above example as 053 48.200 or am I going to end up in Bognor?

I'm up for doing a recce pretty much any weekend really.

There might be one in the pipeline, but if anyone is organising one, i'm there.

And no worries about being slow, its a recce, so will probs be a gentle trot round

Has anyone been for a recce since the snow fell.
I have been asked to do a recce of the 1/2 trog this Sat (can't think why since I got lost last year).
Is it worthwhile going up at present, or should we wait until there's a bit of a thaw?

Lots of nice deep snow on High Brown Knoll. If I can master the technology I will attach a photo our clubmate took of the checkpoint vicinity:

    Cheers Bill.

I'll see how the temperature goes over next couple of days.

A few of us tried a 50k on Saturday and instead only managed 26 miles, and took in some of the route.
Was not runnable due to very deep snow off High Brown Knoll.

I've not heard anything back from them yet, regarding entry, I'll just take it I'm entered?
