I WANTED TO GO TO THE PLACE/ WHERE THE HAPPY POEMS ARE

I wanted to go to the place
Where the Happy Poems are
To hear them within myself
To give them to others
To make Joy real for all of us
I wanted to give a little lift to the souls
Of anyone who would give a little time
To reading me.

I do have a happy soul sometimes
But it is not with me always
How much I have wished
To make others happy
And how long has it been
Since I truly succeeded?
