OK, so that's 6 events on the first weekend in September - any advance?
any more "crammed" weekend than this?
most of May is usually pretty choc-a...
i can only assume you are looking for an argument
on my map the dales and the Lakes are both in the north west therefore same area?????????????????????????????????????????????
ben Nevis and the lakes are not even in the same country so how can you yse them as an example to ridicule my post
go on a navigation course
Thirteen races last weekend in May including three on Bank Holiday Monday
I'm with the Slug in thinking the Lakes and Dales are different areas. Blooming long way from Bolton Abbey to Wasdale![]()
I think the reason the clash is a bit disappointing (to me) is that the two races are often done one before the other (by me). I see where the man from del monte is coming from in that if you live in the north west you'd probably be able to travel to either without too much hassle but I equally agree with daz the slug - Horton I can get to in 10 minutes and that little place that the AW starts from (Stair?) is 2 hours away at least - on a good day, I can get to the outskirts of Birmingham in 2 hours!!
The 3 peaks is a longer slog but counts for double points because its in the Dales whereas the AW is in the spoggy old Lake District![]()
