Ta for posting the entry lists. Egad, I'll have to start doing some serious training now...

Don't know what it's like in E Lancs but it's pretty horrendous going round these parts. Let's hope we get a bit of a thaw.

Think you need a geography lesson jodg - last time I looked Wadsworth was definitely in West Yorkshire

Errm, it's "all the same" up there, isn't it?

You'll have to excuse me - I live south of the M62 and 'town!

Just noticed in my calendar (arrived today, thanks) that the full trog is down as a "BL". Thought it was an "AL"?

Jan, the Trog's just like Tanky's - your legs will feel like you've run an AL afterwards, especially with all this snow.

Not sticking my nose in (honest!) but isn't it Ian Charlesworth from Penistone?

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

Is it better to have tried and learned than not to have tried at all?
This AM, 4 of us attempted to reccie the full Trog.
High Brown knoll, just about runnable but quite deep in places.
From then on down to Dean Head Dam, up to knees and waists in snow. Very difficult even trying to walk. Interesting as the snow had a small layer of ice on the top, so a good scrape after every footstep. Had to abort about 1/2 way between HBK and the dam, and make our way back to the start.
I'm guessing that the roads and tracks the other side of the main road would be runnable (?) but Wadsworth Moor, a real no no.
Looking fwd to it clearing for the race.
Thanks to Elise, Mel and Lucy for your support.
