    Doing it next year Tom? I see Andy is up for it. I am definately up for a return visit. That first climb blows your legs off for sure.

    Does anyone know if this race is going ahead ?

    Never done it but would like to have a go this year. Whats navigation like ?

    The start and finish points have moved about in the last few years, but the basic route is the same. Last time I ran it, the race started on the lane at about GR 574600. You make your way up the lane, until you get to about GR 562597, at which point you head up the fairly obvious track to the summit of Moel Eilio. From here you go straight to Foel Gron and then to Foel Goch. From Foel Goch, run down to Bwlch Maesgwm and then up the final big climb to Moel Cynghorion. From the summit, head NW down, depending on your personal taste, a great descent. Aim to meet the Maesgwm bridleway again at about GR 578571. Finally, follow the bridleway back to the finish at the youth hostel at GR 574596.
