2hr 20mins steady on Ilkley Moor with GrahamB, socks and cousin Gill. Mixed conditions underfoot - everything from knee deep snow, tussocks, icy frozen ground to paths like streams

Second half of the FTOP today. Very misty on the hill today and I ended up wandering off the trod on Pendleton Moor going over to Ashendean Clough which required a steep descent mostly on my backside through the snow drifts to cross the clough.

Did a short but steep run/walk on the North side of Kinder today. 2.5 miles, with about 1250' climbing, up Blackden Clough onto Blackeden Edge and Ashop Moor, then back via a lemming like plummet (loosing 750' in less than 1/2 a mile) and a gentle trot to the van (which then needed pushing back onto the road). Took an hour and a quarter but we did have plenty of scenery breaks and going nowhere fast up the steep and deep snow.

Most importantly, first time back on the big hills for my dog, after 2 months off with mild artheritis and a pulled back leg.

    Re: Today's Training

I uploaded my garmin from yesturdays 'door-step run'.
I know its very 'undulating' round me and there was a few good lung buster climbs, but nothing big like you get in a proper race....12.59 miles and 956ft (Thats using garmin connect)
Depending on how accurate the garmin is, - my legs are flippin feeling it to say the least.

    Ave Heart Rate 150
Max HR -174 (That was climbing a big hill)
I probably should have gone for a nice gentle 4 miler, but i couldnt resist going all out and really putting in the effort.
