    Wot r teenagers 4?

I have just spent a week with my 18yr old nephew, he's a good lad and we get on very well, but I can't quite grasp their purpose in life. Like what are they for, what do they do?

He slept, he would have slept forever, every day, unless dragged out of bed before lunchtime.

He ate, and ate and ate. He emptied the fridge and cupboards on a daily basis.

He wandered about aimlessly, but left a trail of debris, running taps, open doors and random clothing in his wake. For somebody else to clear behind him.

    He drank my beer .

Do they do anything else, is this normal? I presume they grow out of it?

Sounds about right, eldest lad is 24 and lives with his girlfriend now, been through all of the above, grown out of it now, but still drinks my beer when he comes round

Pretty useless really arent they.My girlfriends sister is the same.

I wonder what the carbon footprints of one of these creatins. Prehaps we could cull them and save the planet, as well as a few beers

I'm looking back misty eyed. It really was an idyllic existence - sleeping, drinking beer mmmmm.

You've missed the random bouts of angst and utter contempt for anything outside what we considered to be new.

Moley, the only problem here is your lack of imagination!
A slumbering teenager makes an ideal doorstop or, alternatively, a wonderful draft excluder for those chilly Tylwch nights.
If you have run out of dripping for your sarnie, a quick wipe across their face with a slice of Mighty White will fill the bill.
Bothered by an aged relative? Just wheel the teenager into the same room and soon your problem will be gone.
But best of all, tired of arguing with the Missus about wanting to watch 'man-TV' whilst drinking beer and slobbing on the sofa? Well, look no further for you will have an ideal ally. Remember, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

Not much really I would say.

I personally threw away racing my XC MTB life in favour of getting wasted, getting up late, generally doing sweet FA !

But in my defense, it seemed like a good idea at the time!

But now intend to train to the limit to try and recover some of the fitness lost many years ago hehe!
