    What's for dinner tonight?

    Elvin Soup

    Saute gently one onion
    in tingle spells
    Then
    U
    N
    P
    E
    E
    L
    two parsnips, hidden sweets...
    throw in some cumin
    (which thrives in hot lands)
    and has a slender branched
    s-t-e-m
Next, add the soft and hairless plant seeds
with some good old veggie stock
just when you thought it couldn't get any hotter
    add some finely chopped chilli
    to the melange

Serve with a dollop of creme fraiche
    if so
    DESIREd

and there we have the finest Elvin Soup !
to be consumed at your own risk/pleasure

    Re: Today's poet

    Thank you very much.

His songs are known from Memphis to Rivendell,
You can sing along to the tunes we all know them well,
With his jet black hair and pointed ears,
Both the Elves and the humans give him cheers,
For a millennia or more he's had us under his spell,
Cape on his back and and a fine bow as well,
    I can't remember his name but i don't think it's necessary,
Oh i know now his names Elvish Presley.

    By Matt.

P.S. Dont know if elvin has anything to do with elves but this came to mind.

Is yours and yours and yours.

    A sleep I shall have

Will be yours and yours and yours.

Evening all! Freckle, this has always been a poem that I especially liked. It is great isn't it. Isn't it something to do with the French resistance? Glad that you posted it.
