Thanks for the advice! For a second I thought you meant use the bike for the swimming section as well!

Do you think its an aging thing. I know a number of people who have generally been injury free, and then in the 40's get achilles problems.
Oi ! I'm only 26!
Ah, but you look much older;-)
You'll pay for that!![]()
Thought I might resurect the thread. Has anyone tried voltarol cream/gel. I was using ibuprofen gel but it seemed to be having little affect on my achillies pain. I friend reccomended voltarol and touch wood it seems to be having a positive effect!?
Voltarol is a wonder cure. It has magical healing properties! Make sure you get the strong stuff.
Can I just ask something that might be really stupid!
I've set my achillies off again at Christmas at a bloody party - nowt to do with running! - anyhow it's really peeing me off now, I'm trying to be good and do the stair lift stretches regularly because that does help BUT there is pain there when I run
Sometimes it's better after my off road session and sometimes that agrivates it.. after sleeping it's a bit cranky first thing
ANYHOW (sorry - waffle city) I brought some voltarol gel today after seeing this thread... how long till it kicks in - would you expect a day before you feel a difference?
I've been using Voltarol and doing the lifting strecthes - mixture seems to have dulled the pain and it feels much better this week but now has a bump... should I be worried?
