almost in the RAF. maybe as well I didn't? who know's? sliding doors moment maybe but although passing the exam (and distictlinctly remembering choosing the wessex sea king when asked to name an air craft and remembering fondly back to a boy who given the clue 'it's the name of a bird' replied "Robin" ) was told they 'weren't taking on for the military at that time, but if I wanted I could pack parachutes'! errrr no thanks, not so sure I want to risk my packing (in)abilities with anyone really!
