Thanks to the organisers from me too. Also thank you to all the runners who were so lovely to me today - it was my first race and I had no idea what to expect! Everyone was really friendly and made me (and my friends) feel very welcome and not like some dumpy novice. Cheers.
No idea if I actually met any forumites but I did see someone in a Fell Ponies vest!

And to top it, I didn't come last! Can't wait for the next one

Quite a few Fell Ponies out today in an assortment of coloured vests, good run, good food, good weather and good atmosphere. Thanks to Alan Greenwood and his helpers for a top do.
Well done Stanners, magic run mate.
Nice to meet Pilgrim and BritNick and see all the rest of you, felt bloody knackered at the start and didn't wake up till 4 miles in, not used to getting up that early since i've stopped working

Fantastic race organisation and very kind and friendly marshalls. I've never seen so much food at a race!
Great to see lots of friendly faces and especially DJ and OG at the finish, who started 30 mins late but still carried on with the long route....now that's dedication! (just glad they didn't overtake me! )
A big thankyou to a lovely gentleman Steampig for his company throughout and making sure I went the right way.
I found the first half easy and was quite buzzing. Still finished on the wrong side of 5 hours as the second half killed! My legs were in agony! I need to get used to that kind of distance again. I probs won't be able to walk tomorrow!
Shame there were no commemorative T-shirts!

Good to see so many forumites. A big thank you to the organisers for letting us start so late. It was a novel experience starting just after the sweeper, but good job because she stopped us going horribly wrong right at the start
