    I've just taken my television to the local household waste site. Life without TV starts today!!!

    The village film society are showing Wim Wender's classic Paris, Texas this evening with byo refreshments Been meaning to go along for months so that's tonights entertainment sorted

    This is incorrect. My official letter specifically states 'use television receiving equipment to record or watch TV programmes as they're being shown on TV' not own or posess the equipment.

    ...and if you really want to goad the inspectors leave a TV in full view of the front door, but not plugged into an arial... and then refuse them entry to inspect it. They really have zero powers and short of getting a magistrates warrant they have no right of entry.

    I moved into my flat almost 2 years ago and sent the notification off. They've never bothered me or come round to check. If they did they wouldn't find anything here!

    Check out Mark Thomas' Manifesto on R4 Thurs night in the 1830 comedy slot. Very good. Catch last week's on iPlayer if you can.

    They ended up reintroducing Saint Mondays. Makes perfect sense if you ask me!!
