Shall I be nice? Ok then. I have the GPX file from our recce of the full on Saturday. I can PM you the link (I've put it on a web site) but be aware that we didn't do the initial loop, we think we turned off too early at checkpoint 5 and we didn't do the whole of the out and back bit to checkpoint 6 so it's not an entirely accurate representation of the route. We also had to swerve to avoid snow at times so some of the lines that you might think should be straight are a bit wonky.

    Er, no!

Your wife should be fine if she is in the middle of the pack and the clag doesn't come down; there will be enough people to follow. If the clag does come down she might struggle from cp2-cp4 (half trog cp's). If she has a compass and can use it it would be worth looking at the map and calculating a couple of bearings for these two legs.

Haven't done the full trog so can't really comment. Same applies to yourself when you return to cock hill (cp11-cp12), perhaps more so as field will be very spread out by then.

We did half on sunday in moderate fog; had to use compass to get back to Trig at High Brown Knoll.

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

There is a .kml file for the full trog here (save to disc). I think the route is mostly correct except for the last few miles where I over-shot a turn off and then had to cut across the moor when I realised. Converters from .kml to .gpx here.

I have exported a .crs file for bread-crumb trail navigation onto a Garmin 305. Did the same for MTL leg 2 yesterday and it worked fine - shows your location arrow vs. the correct track - beeping you if you stray off course.

Just hope my legs are up to it!

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

The Trog is almost full now, an up to date list will be posted on this thread shortly.

We are allowing substitutions on the day but no new entries. If you are swapping places with someone else, please sort your money out with them beforehand as we probably won't have time on the day.

Food is available after the race on production of a race number.

    Many thanks

    Linda

    Linda,

Will water be available at any of the checkpoints?

There isn't any water on the half trog but there will be biscuits and water at CP4, the barn at Haworth Old Road on the full.

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

Both races are now FULL, no more entries please.

If you can't run for any reason, please let us know and we can allocate your place to someone else.

Please try and car share as much as possible on the day as parking is tight.

    Thank you

    Linda
