High Peak Marathon

hi,

new on here, makes some interesting reading..

me and a team have a place in this years race. luckily i know a vast majority of the route. unfortunately the part im not very familiar with is the bogs around Bleaklow.

we managed to get as far as Margery hill on sunday its the route from there on that wories me.

any tips would be gratefully received

Looks like you just have to follow Ian & Andy's footprints!

Otherwise, reccie it well & make sure you know how to use map & compass in the dark/mist. Don't rely on following others, as the field will be well spread out by this point.

Watch out for the snow men pointing the way

It may give you a feel but I suspect the conditions and features will be completly different on the day

one of our members has a knee problem and may not be able to compete... just trying to get a feel for it and see who might be available..

I'm keen to make up a team - I ran last year - but unfortunately I won't pass the actually being a lady test . Please though bear me in mind, if only as a last resort
