It was friendly enough when we stroked its nose but its approach was very sudden Pack a bit of carrot in your bumbag for the day of the run

Well it did seem ok, but when it initially was bolting towards us, I was scrambling for the style like a cat!

If we're putting in requests for livestock removal can I request that the bulls in the field before the horse be moved? I was much more spooked by them (although they didn't move an inch) than by the manic horse.

Is this the one with the bracelet with all the checkpoints on it.

Snow made it heavy going last year and i had a few falls.

Any update on conditions / mad animals from any one out on a reccie this weekend? Pre race paranoia since my 500 mile round trip from Edinburgh in 2007 for a (justifiably) cancelled race

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

We didn't encounter any horses on our reccie today and the bullocks where too busy troughing to do more than look at us with interest to see whether we were bringing them more food. Ground a combo of rock hard, frozen bogs which lead to some comedy slip moments, tussocs frosty and also some lovely firm ground which was quite fast. The bit by the res after cp1 wasn't too bad, ie not thigh deep mud today!
