Awesome weather, a little too hard underfoot for my tiny hobbits feet with lots of cheese grater turf and icy patches, well done all who ran.
Amazing value brunch back at start: Hot Hollands pies 50p, Muffins 50p and all the tea you can drink for free. Brilliant!
    Big thanks to organisers.

    Quality day that.

Slight error on leg 1 cost us a bunch of places but not to worry. The ice certainly made things interesting....if you didnt attempt to atleast draw some blood you didnt try hard enough.

Calder Valley looked to have 3rd place sewn up when I saw them.

Thanks for a great event Rossy - we couldn't get a full B out in the end due to injuries, so me and a debutant had a potter round leg 1 then followed the race.

    Horwich
    Salford
    Calder Valley
    Blackburn H
    Rossy
    Clayton

I think in the top places.

John Sutton went straight to Casualty after a fall on the big descent on Leg 1 - battled on to the finish but probably cost us a few minutes.
    He's reported to be OK.

Deserves a lot of credit for keeping going in what must have been severe pain.

Thanks for refusing to lend me a safety pin on the grounds they were your lucky pins!

Were they lucky because your partner did not beat you up despite the fact you tried to finish without him and had to be cautioned to wait by the marshalls? If he was the navigator with that much space between you both no wonder you went wrong.

Nobody can have my lucky safety pins.

I did wait for him as and when i was asked to do so thankyou very much. He was not navigating...neither of us knew were we where going.
