Just had a lovely jog out of Pateley Bridge as the sun set. Great way to clear my head for the next class.

    the valley's darkness
    creeps up onto the moor
    as hill swallows sun

The Carol Anne Duffy reading I bet will be great. Hope you enjoy it.

Maybe it would be easier to organise getting a poet to a fell race. That way there is only one person to organise than all of us. Herding cats comes to mind!

Who is known as someone who is really good to see?

How does the idea of having a FPS team for the Lakeside Gummers How Rowing / Fell race this year sound?

It is normally complete chaos as you can see from the video clip, but a great night out. It is three per team, and ability in running / rowing is certainly not needed. There is no rush to enter a team, as it isn't on until the 19th of June.

Sounds fun HHH. How the 3 person team work ?. Is it 1 row then next 1 run and then 1 row. Or is it all 3 at once and time for team is the time the slowest takes ?.. How is everyone tonight. Anyone fancy a silly theme night like the biscuits night the other week as could do with some humour today.

You don't need to know how to row. You can just sit back and enjoy the ride. As long as one of the other team members can row mind you!

Everyone stays together as a team, so you row across, run up and down the hill, and row back again, finishing on the lawn of the hotel with a beer.

If you can coordinate two rowing together it can be better as it shares the work, but that needs a little practice, otherwise you have one tired rower and two passengers!
