bruised aching body
suffering from whiplash?
or circuit training?

fell poets should be allowed to wear different running attire for lakeland races (as is is home to many great poets may I suggest:

teflon coated tweed and breeks this will will suffice as full waterproof body cover

tweed cap, dachstein mitts

country brogues resoled with a fellrunning style sole

leather satchel for various notebooks, pens,

What an excellent idea. You'll not miss us all dressed like that. Is it poor form to smoke a pipe on the way round too?

I might have a blast at this I was planning to do it any way. I'll be camping local if i do. so many running plans have gone out of the window already such as edale sky line and iwas doing so well till christmas came along withs its damn single malts and mince pies and turkey, beer and cake............

Hope you are okay Hes.Having never run in the lake district although familiar with some areas of it. I've read the distance and the ascent and it reads quite hard as far as these things go. Have any of you guys done this before ?. Is it hard. I know that might seem like an odd question but you know sometimes where you do 2 or 3 different races supposedly all about the same in distance and ascent and 1 seems so much easier than the others or in fact harder. I know fitness comes into it but even then sometimes when fully fit this happens. Cheers Matt.

A pipe is a perfectly acceptable accessory for the discerning fellrunning chap or lady..? Hope you are OK hes. I have complete permission from the commander in chief to attend this event i'm going to enter very soon now i'm off to write some verse

Tri did you get tollok at the poetry magazine website I linked if not it's well wortha visit as it contains every poetry publication in the UK and gives details of submissions I thought it might be useful as your in the midst of writing a collection
