6.4 mile headtorch run last night. Crossed several muddy fields and ran (stumbled) along riverbank path which has been underwater recently. Nice. Pint of Red Fox Coggeshall Gold afterwards. Also nice.

Hi Rach, Are you high peak marathoning by any chance,

Just got back from Howden edge. near Swains head to be precise. fresh wet snow covering all the old stuff is a bit tricky esp near edges where you can't tell wether its a hole or hard pack under fresh stuff. depth varies from zero to 12+inches where it has drifted. plenty of heather showing though. it was cold but drizzeling near the 1894 stone, suspect bleaklow could be firmer.

21 miles on me bike before getting a flat Probably expected too much from a 12 year old bike that gathers dust most of the year round

Short run tonight - 3 miles in the slush, followed by hill sprints (5 x 40 seconds sprint up, 1 minute jog down) followed by short cool down trot home.
Not done those in ages, and my legs weren't too happy on the last one! Hoping to get up to at least 10 reps next week, and then extend the rep to a minute...

6 miles through a pea-souper fog, tikka beam just bounced back into my face. Kept to the lane as it was too difficult to even see the road edge at times - hence veeeeerrrrrrryyyyyy ssssssllllllllooooooowwwww

Yep (well that's the plan!). Cheers for that, conditions were fairly nice along the outer edge tonight, apart from some periods of thick clag! To be expected I suppose, need to get used to it

12 miles 3,000ft Dark Peak Margery Hill Fell race

Very foggy for large parts of the route with big place changes due to Navigational choice or error!

The route has lots of up and down not unlike TOP.

Not sure of my position as it was a staggered start. slight calf pull crossing one of the streams

I need to work on my Hill fitness still
