Anyone having second thoughts???I will gladly take your entry from you.
Thanks

Anyone know if it's ok/worth it trying to straight line cp5-cp6?.
Seems like it should be possible to contour straight across from the "pit(dis)" feature, round the north side of (rather than going up) Dick Delf Hill then turning right down the Pennine Way.
I don't know the area that well, so this all depends on the visibility tomorrow!
Any thoughts?
That section is used on the Withens Skyline race as well - Dave Woodhead reckons it's quite a bit quicker to continue then cut right rather than take the direct line which crosses quite a lot of boggy ground and cuttings. I think the point at which you turn is a little before that indicated on the map though. There's a vague path.
See you tomorrow. Gulp![]()
Yeah, there's a lot of blue lines coming off the high ground; always a bad sign when they actually mark the streams on the map!
was thinking of staying south of the blue stuff, just contouring round the north of Delf Hill, instead of following the path round the south side.
What will probably happen is that i'll just be head down, blindly following the path whilst desperately hanging onto a vest in front!
Hope it goes well tomorrow, Troggers. I'm Rombalding with Deejay, and as we skip merrily along Rocky Valley I'll think of you all hauling yourselves up Parcel Beds.
Mrs Stagger: I'm sure all will be fine.
Next year, all being well, I'll be back over to Wadsworth.
