Haha. How long has 'keeping people company' been a job?

Good to see you today Tom. You scamps (scottie, Will and Al included) are a credit to the sport and the forum with your enthusiasm

Wine going to your head AS?

I clearly remember you saying you wanted to leave the mixed club and join either Wharf or Valley. And what was it you were calling the GREAT man Brett???

I held your hand as you were in no fit state to support yourself, had you had a tipple on the event?, as your Nav and presonal stature were both very poor.

Glad you made it home OK

Hope to be of assistance to the over 50s in future events.
PS Steve Oldfield went well 2nd overall

As a club we have filled in application forms for all clubs in the area for Antisocial. We offer to pay twice the subs but so far no takers.

He can't stay at Keighley - he can't drink

    Bingley - he can't run

Calder - he'd never understand you

Valley - he'd never find you

    Skipton - yellow vest

    Ilkley - too posh

Apologies ... but perhaps you need to run a little slower; I was already losing touch with you all, and by the time I'd spotted the navigational issues (walls and fences where there was only supposed to be heather being the clue), you were all out of sight ... I'm not sure the cunning adjustment - half a mile through thigh deep heather to cp13 - was much of an improvement either. 21.64m on my watch, mind.

Remind me which song it was? Oh, and rescuing sheep was a first for me too.

You had a good run AS and you had the advantage of knowing the route too.

    Keep it serious C

Brett summed it up, you'd be hard pushed to follow AS round

    Accrington or Salford = AS

In reply to Brett - Wine/ Lambrini - i am a bit more sophisticated than that - http://www.in-the-spirit.co.uk/cockt...ail.php?id=338

I can't leave Keighley, I have only just paid my subs - or I think I paid them, Brett made me hand them over as he dashed to the bar in the Brown Cow. It was the only way I could stop Wharfedale from constantly ringing me, honestly guys just recruit from your home area - oh yeah I forgot - its Silsden. I couldn't join CVFR who would wear a vest that looks like a used tampon?

Stagger - At least I am out and proud both about my club and the fact I am not a total p**head. I do not have shaming secret hobbies unlike yourself the CFVR would be race organiser.

(Nice of Dick B to be the model though).

Re assistance to older 50's - watch out guys, this is what he means http://www.clubsilver.org/

Right now I have showed you how to give out proper abuse am taking my hangover back to bed, I may even put the vodka in my Appletini next time

    Re: Wadsworth Trog

Many many thanks to all for such a fantastic race. You even arranged clag to make it more interesting.

I had the worst race of my life, cramping up after about 11 miles, Walshaw Dean ressie (why does that happen, I even drank so much isotonic the day before and the morning before, not to mention drinking during the race?). I was gutted. Had the energy and strength and mental strength, just not the ability to stop the cramp, despite lots more stretching. So next time you pass someone going lots lots slower than he should, tis not because he's lost it in his head, tis not because he's lost, tis cos he wants to cry that cramp is stopping him from going any faster....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So I jogged straight back home to the other side of the valley overlooking Hebden and sulked and mulled over why my body won't let me race for more than 11 miles.

and then, best part of the day, watching England beat Wales.

    Thanks again to all.

PS Anyone know of any 10/11 mile races (apart from the LMV today!)
