nice one DT love a bit of Larkin

Long lion days
start with white haze
by midday you meet
A hammer of heat-
whatever was sown
now fully grown,
whatever conceived
now fully leaved,
Abounding, ablaze-
O long lion days!

A moment along the Cornish Coastal path

Around the Headlands turn, I ran
Ancient landscape torn and born again.
Relentless; granite bastions spread
into the oceans roar like a pianists

Fingers.The waves crashed against
them; stretching notes, which ended in splutters
low against the sea blackened cliffs.
Waveswere split and hung in the air
like frothy Constellations.

I can never tell if you are being sarcastic about my poetry Mossdog. Please don't be offended if your not. I think it's when you contribute stuff it's all brilliant.

I promise you ...er...'the poet previously known as Tri' and now Herakles, that I was being very sincere, you have a great talent and I find many of your poems evocative and moving. So while I'm pleased you have/are trying out a different identity, please keep some of that old talent going - it really is a gift. Take care mate.

Focus.

Sometimes the voice in my head talks to me,
Forcing me to do stuff lose my dignity,
Well i won't let it control me anymore,
Broke free of the shackles knocked down the door.

No longer me to the power of three no more,
Cast aside just one now to the power of four,
I shall write poetry and roam the fell,
Give me eighteen months and i will run like hell.

Focused and clear after such a long time,
Chemical haze disappears i rise and climb,
Now i can concentrate on the two things i love,
Never to falter astride the fells looking down from above.

Fellrunner.

Moving forward legs like lead,
Wind through my hair,
Thousand thoughts run ahead,
I'm hurting but i don't care.

Hale stones like tennis balls,
Fat bloke says your all bloody masochists,
We hardy lot are joyous souls,
He would never understand our love of this.

Don't do it for fame,money or ego,
The love of life and of the fell,
From the peaks we watch the valley below,
Running atop of the world you fall for it's spell.

Rise from the valleys,
Strength building power,
Growing with every,
Step up to Kinder,
Mind and body,
Synapse firing legs,
Like pistons lungs,
Open time,
Game on.
