We were borrowing Orienteering e punching kit from the kind people at East Pennine Orienteering Club, who as it happens are having a major event on the same area on Valentines day, go to www.eastpennineoc.org.uk for a butchers. Sadly said e-kit does not recognise V40, LV50 etc, so I have used M for men, and W for ladies, if no age class then they are open age, and W20 is open age ladies!

The 200 was for both races although you are right to point out we had quite a few no show's who did not even contact the Entry Sec.Cheers for posting the results!

This was the only disapointment as there was quite a few who would liked to have run.
Well done all who turned up and enjoyed the event, Mrs Stagger did an awesome job.
We are considering running it as 2 seperate races on different weeks in future to try to accommodate more on the Full Trog.

26th. i pulled away from a group of Clayton runners at the return from Cockhill and attached to the first lady group, we went off course a bit , then I pulled away from them on my own and got totally lost. If i had stayed with the Clayton lads looking at the results I could have been between 14th and 17th. Ce La vie.
However is it me or were the times slower this year overall. I felt stronger than I have for ages but even if I had finished with Clayton I would have been slower than my best to date which was 3.35 after bonking badly and i was much lower down the field then.
The computer that was running the splits was synchronised to the start, so all times should be bang on, even if you only punched the finish box. A few of you missed a couple of checkpoints, so I had to manually give you a split, some of which are bizarre, the final time is accurate.
I guess you were slow because of the clag??
Just to echo all, a huge thank you to organisers and marshals. Spot on.
An extra cheers to Manhar who checked that i was okay as i deliriously ignored him when crossing the road... I'd moved beyond niceties by then and had slumped into sulking miserable mode! I'm not sure my ankle's ever pointed in so many directions in one day before...
Still, survived it in 4.34ish which isn't so bad for my first L fell race. I did die terribly in the second half and kept getting passed... although it made me chuckle to see the same people passing who'd overtaken an hour before! I'd have done the same had some kind soul not pointed out that you shouldn't see walls in the middle of a moor and then diving off to the right.
Still, it makes road marathons seem like pish... I'll be back!
Not seen too many photos, I saw plenty of people taking them though!
