No, there would be no emotive responses to an unwitnessed event.

If a french footballer rugby passes a ball in order to score a goal and there is no one there to see it..... Oh hang on let me inverse that and minus one

Ok so let's leave the dynamic, and simultaneously stagnant, world of quantum mechanics to talk about dog psychology. I know that dogs aren't stupid as my cat loving mother will furiously deny but i wasn't aware just how radically they have evolved in the keep of humans. The face recognition thing was pretty cool, i've since realised that i do a lot more with the right hand side of my face than i thought; winking, cheeky smiling, looking at something with one eye. The dog that could remember objects i'm pretty sure was cleverer than any parrot, and the ability to realise a picture can represent an object is very advanced for a canine considering chimps fail the pointing test. Dogs truly are man's best friend.

If they can perceive an picture as representing an object then they could read couldn't they?

It looked like that Border Collie could do anything.

They are the supposed to be the most intelligent breed though. Golden Retrievers are fourth so I don't know what happened to mine.

My mate's got a collie crossed with whatever and it's got the best nose i've ever seen and meticulous persistence. He lives in an area where the houses have high fences, networks of ginnels, bushy areas and a wood accross the back. He can throw the dog's ball as far as he can in any direction and within half an hour it'll be back with it, he was on about lending it to the police to be trained as a sniffer dog.

Yes the Border Collie was astonishing. Very few animals have a sense of self, elephants are one and chimps too but it wouldn't surprise me if that dog could identify itself in a mirror and paint spot test.

its all pointless when you can't prove anything outside your own mind actually exists.

Attention! Tonight's Horizon explores the theory that there is not one infinity, but many, each one larger than the one that preceded it.

Sounds like my theory that there is not one just one fellrace, but many, each one harder than the one that preceded it.

Isn't infinity infinitely big? If so, how can anything be larger?

It's like those arguments you have as a child that go something like:

    Me: Yes it is
    My sister: No it isn't
    Me: Is, times one thousand
My sister: Isn't, times one million
Me: Is, times infinity (smug grin)
My sister: (short pause) Isn't, times infinity and one

We would then have an argument about the nature of infinity. I hope she's not watching tonight.
