wasn't the anniversary waltz all about a wedding at Newlands area in the Lakes?

As somebody else has mentioned the venue has to have a wedding licence, but most good and interesting places would have gone down that route.
You can use this site to find relevant venues.

Friends hired out Borrowdale YH for whole weekend. Groom was local to area so they got married in a little church up the valley. Pissed it down all weekend (yep, was a summer wedding). Loads of running, mud, beer & nosh. Top weekend

I got married at Armathwaite Hall at the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake four years ago. It really is a great venue the staff couldn't have been more helpful, catering was top class etc. We received very positive feedback regarding the venue from all our geusts and to be honest I can't remember a single negative comment. It's not the cheapest of places but we reckon it was great value for money compared with other similar venues.

Our wedding was in the middle of October and the weather was absolutely stunning!
Thanks for your responses guys,
We are going to have a look at a few venues around lancashire and pop upto the lakes also over the coming months. Please keep them coming,
It will be a reasonably big wedding about 120 day/170 night.
Also considering looking for a Marquee and a freindly farmer. Does anyone know were the Three Peaks or Borrowdale Marquees go when they are out of use.
Cheers All
Happy aniversary Adrian and Sarah by the way.
