Apparently my bin and recycling box blew all over the street this morning! Neighbours son was running round picking up all the bottles strewn around the street! Other neighbour had his car dented when his own wheely bin crashed into it! When I got home there was one wheely bin left on the opposite side of the street, and one recycling box. No idea if they were mine but I nabbed them anyway.
mmm our rabbit hutch is in the pond
No wind here. I'm wondering when winter's going to begin - we've gone straight from autumn to spring.
round our way, because its all terraced houses that front straight onto the pavement, loads of people don't bother putting their bins away and leave them out the front permanently, so there's always bins skidding up and down in the wind. Better not be any dents in my car in the morning!!!!!!
was there a rabbit in it?
Fair amount of wind in HG1. Live near asda so theres always the odd supermarket trolly knocking about.
We should count our blessing though (apart from that poor soul who deosn't have a roof). Lass at work spent new year in Dubai and returned late on Monday night to find her chimney had blown off. Thats the kind of thing that can really spoil your day
...living 20ft away from the base of Carleton Mill chimney (gotta be 150ft+ and solid - I hope!!! - stone) and with some old and heavy looking tree's across the beck at the back I'm keeping a good eye on the wind-charts
...another good reason to be away for the weekend too methinks
...there's a hill nearby missing its fool...
We've just noticed that the pilot light on our boiler has blown out which it sometimes does when it's windy. Brrrrrr - time for a bath and then bed I think.
