Cheers Ian, I'll take a look at the mat in the OMM sack. I hadn't realised they came as standard. The radiator foil is pretty good though! 4m folded over to make a 2m mat. Definitely does the job warmth wise and is incredibly light. Not as comfortable as a Thermarest, but not too bad.
Completely agree Baggins! I did my first 3 MMs last year... heavy pack and nice night on the Saunders and Rab, but stripped right down for the OMM. I've had a better night's kip, but well worth it. Investing in lighter kit also helps, but it's not cheap. My partner on the OMM doesn't like to carry his wet socks from day 1 with him on day 2 because of the additional weight, so he heats them up in a pan on the stove (after breakfast!) and sticks them back on. In the spirit of commerarderie I did the same. It's a winner!
Yup, 17/18 July

I have the OMM 25, cracking scak for MM i must say, right down to the lightweight frame. I will be investing in some ultra light kit for this RAB. amazing how heavy stuff becomes thoughout the day!!
