It actually used to happen on BGs years ago
Ive heard a few tales about this. I think its a Dark Peak thing but their odd bods anyway.

There is a better way off getting food on bleaklow but its tricky and you need mountain rescue skills to do it

laminate a map then when a bleaklow hare run out
skim the map and slice its head off.
