    Although I don't suffer from cold hands, for the first time I will be using Neoprene 3mm socks and gloves (wetsuit stuff) and will report on their effectiveness after the race. They should be useful if the snow is soft and we go on hands and knees in the drifts.

    I'm alternating between mild/moderate terror and extreme excitement should be a good night, or at least one to remember!

    RachFR, make sure you have plenty of warm gear for the night.
    It appears that the pre-event excitement is getting to me as well

    bog monster has about 6 foot of snow and Ice on top. He's well and truely hibernating.

    Just picked daughter up from Guides, car temp says -4C clear sky and perishing cold but does it warrent the buffalo?
